Vibration

Learned something today.

My nuclear green palys have not expanded much the last few days-they are always bulletproof. All parameters look good, all other corals good. I was confused but patient.

After three days I determined that my tunze turbella wavemaker was vibrating against a piece of LR. It was causing a vibration that I did not notice. I removed the vibration and they opened up fully in an hour.

This really makes sense since these Palys always close up if I accidentally "knock into" the table the tank is on. Obviously they are sensitive to vibrations.

Just something to think about next time.

Astute observation. Most would've never found that cause.
