Magnesium at 1800!

Hello,

I just tested my parameters and everything was fine then my mag was at 1800! Please help

Are you dosing Magnesium? What salt are you using? How many times did you test?

Im not dosing but i do have dosers. Im using red sea salt. I tested 2 times but ill try again

Which test kit and are you reading it properly? If you're not dosing, it is very unlikely your Mg is anywhere near 1800. Even oceanic salt back in the day with high Calcium and high Magnesium didn't sniff 1800.

I'm saying bad test kit or improper reading of results

Im such an idiot! I didnt follow the instructions! My mg is at 1440. Thanks for your help

The Red Sea Mg test is good but you have to be very precise when doing it as a slight slip up can affect the results dramatically as I've found from my own experience. I've had all sorts of readings and if it doesn't look correct try again.

I often end up doing this test last for some reason and by then I've got a little less careful....
