T5 Tek light mounting brackets

Anyone have any experience with the Tek T5 mounting brackets? I recall reading a thread that said the brackets did not fit on an AGA and would like to make sure they fit my Perfecto before I order them. Does anyone know of any other way to mount these lights on the tank itself? Hanging them is not a possibility.

They DO NOT fit AGA. I would hang if at all possible- the legs are very awkward. I'm going to try to build a rig with pipes that are attached to the back of my stand so I can hang mine.

Tek T5

Hey Duluth,

Are you plugging in your car up there yet? I bet you guys felt this week's blast of cold air!

What is different about the AGA tank rim? I had previously been under the impression that they were all the same.

Also, I've seen some reference to a "new design" for the tank mounts. Do you know anything about this? I am considering purchasing a used light and would call the company, but I'd like to let the seller know before business hours on Monday.

Thanks for you input.

I got the teklight brackets to work fine on an All Glass aquarium. I just turned the pieces that would actually sit on the rim to the inside, meaning the metal piece that bends at 90 degrees and is attached to the screws. I had the lip inside the rim of the aquarium instead of on the outside.
