Jebao wave makers

I'm thinking of buying a Jebao wave maker, but I'm not sure what size I need. I have a 56 gallon cube. The dimensions are 30"L x 18"W x 24"H. I'm trying to decide between a PP4 and a PP8. My tank is short 30", but tall, and I don't want to over do it. The reason for choosing the Jebao's is they fit my reef budget

IMO.. 2 x PP4
Or a single PP8 (but 2 x PP4 is better as you can get better coverage/less dead spots)

I just ordered one pp4. I'll order another if I need it. It's not that much cheaper buying a pair. Thanks for the help

U don't say what your plan for the tank is but I agree with mcgyver, at the very least u would need two pp4. If u plan on corals it's almost impossible to get the random flow u want from only one powerhead. If u plan on a fish only then the one pp4 may be enough but imo u would need two if u want corals.

I had two pp4 in my 40 breeder & they were perfect for my lps & when I first started into sps. Once I started filling up the tank with sps I added a cp-25 to the mix because the sps started to need more flow. So now I have two pp-4 & a cp-25 in my 40 breeder. The sps where all growing & doing ok with only the two pp-4 but they have really liked the added flow I have now.

I'm currently running 2 ebay Chinese 800 GPH circulation pumps. Because my tank is a cube, I have a pretty random flow pattern with a pump on each side, aimed just right. My corals do well even the Miami Hurricane, and green birds nest. I just want to step it up a notch to try more SPS. DC wavemakers have really become affordable. Good advice adding the extra circulation as the corals fill in. I hadn't thought this project that far out. I'll Take the advice and do two PP4's, with an additional pump later.
