What kind of Media Reactor do you run on your system?

Please bare with me b/c this is before I did all of my upgrades on the 1st pix...I am currently using the BRS dual GFO reactor and for my pump, I am using the mj1200 and like them, solid units. Since I don't run that much BRS ROX Carbon I was wondering what kind of media reactor do you run for just your GFO ? Please share a pic of your reactor and how you have it hard plumbed? I am thinking about changing it up and going with either the Fluidized Media Reactor MR5 from Avast or their new Small Spyglass Reactors which by far the easiest reactor on the market to clean. Also, here is a short video on the Spyglass from Avast..

Just curious, how come you won't just run the GFO in the first chamber and leave the second chamber empty?

I just ordered some cheap reactor from Amazon so I can run carbon in my system. I've been using the bag method for carbon and it's basically useless lol. I don't personally see a reason to pay a lot for a reactor, it's fundamentally just a chamber to push water through some media. It's not even all that important that you clean it very often. As long as I can easily remove and replace my media, I'm good

+1. I have the BRS dual also. I just run whatever I feel the tank needs. Sometimes carbon sometimes GFO sometimes both. Easy Peezy. Buy a fish or a coral if ya need to buy something. Lol

I have 2 systems, one has no reactors and the other has a Next Reef reactor plumbed into it, but I only use it as needed... which is EXTREMELY rare!
