New (used) APEX - What steps should I take?

I just picked up an Apex gold and connected it to the Apex app (app not fusion) and updated the main firmware and the firmware for the display module. What should I be doing as far as resetting or clearing the old unit?

I bought mine used also and I just mainly worried about clearing what I use(mainly physical EB8 programs). I renamed the outlets to match what I plug into the EB8 and that's about it. I haven't done much with profiles and such so I don't worry about clearing those.

Also, reset the alarms so they notify you instead of the previous owner lol

Great point.

I found this out last night: if the previous owner did not unlink the apex from his/her Fusion account, it's a real head scratcher trying to get Fusion setup - bottom line is you can't get a new link token and it's not clear to the new Apex user just why. The solution is to clear the memory from the device display. This should likely be done regardless I guess but I wasn't aware and spent a heck of a lot of time trying to get fusion connected before doojg so.

Just remove the modules and let the apex find them again. That will clear out any programming on the eb8.

My biggest issue was stablishing a new link with Fusion. The only way to clear out the link and get a new token to connect to your own fusion account....from what I've learned...is to clear/initiate "all" memory.

From talking with our rep, I believe the only way to properly clear the unit from fusion is to have the original user remove it from their fusion account or contact support and have it removed that way.

Thanks Gary - this is were I found out the solution to clearing the connection between fusion and a previously owned Apex. I implemented it and it worked.
