Anyone has experience with seaside ES2 skimmer?
I just purchased a red sea 425 and need a skimmer. I intend to buy a seaside ES2. Does anybody has experience on it? I want a quite skimmer. Is it loud?

Welcome to Reef Central I would read through that thread and see what others are using for that size tank. |

Thanks a lot for the information. I know ES2 may be too large for my tank. I thought for skimmer, the larger the better it is. Is there any negative effect of an oversized skimmer.

You might be better off with an ES7 though, I think the reefer 425 is about 110 gallons right? If you plan to stock heavily with fish then it's probably a good fit but if you don't plan to stock heavily I'd look at one size down from the ES2. |

I would look into a 6'' body skimmer for that size tank. So I would check with the other 425 user and see what they are using.
