Putting a saddle Valentini puffer in an sps reef.
What corals or inverts would be problematic if housed with a saddle Valentini puffer?

They have the potential to pick at anything, but from what I've read, they are mainly not considered reef safe due to them eating snails, hermits, and other invert critters. I had one in my mixed reef tank for a while and he never bothered any of my coral. As always with fish, your results may vary.

I had one that would sample montis and acans mostly. But pretty sure its going to vary a lot of course.

I have two in a 26 g mixed reef. They have occasionally nipped at coral but for the most part leave it alone. As the above poster mentioned, results may vary.

ive never had a problem with valentinis and sps, and in general they have been ok with clams exept for 1 I had that took a liking to clams.... you could try a mimic filefish looks exactly like a valentini and are typically more reefsafe...
