I've got to find names for my LTA, and a new feather duster. I'm thinking Fifi for the 2nd., and maybe big red 1 for later.

Fommy to another fommy, do you find yourself talking to your fin babies like you do a fur baby, or human babies? I do, and not at all ashamed to admit it.

Years ago we had a six line wrasse that my youngest at the time named him Justin after a friend.

This time around we just call the new six line "the beebs"
My Tomini tang is "tangalicious"
Tuxedo urchin "Mario"
Bangaii cardinal "bad guy"
Few others we still haven't named

We've let the kids name them, but we name them according to species. Therefore, every yellow tang we've ever had is named "Bob".
Usually they get too big and we replace him with a small Yellow Tang. I think we've had 5 Bobs so far.

Bangaii Cardinalfish are always called "Old Man McGuire"
Just look at him.

Nope, never. Except for Kevin. Kevin was named by a 3 year old and it stuck. He's a damsel.

Only my Yellow Tang has a name which is Wu and the rest of the fish are referred to as the clan. So I have the Wu Tang Clan in my tank LOL

Love all the names. I let other people name my fish but I never refer to them that way. I 'm picking fish by different colors so I just refer to them as: Red, Yellow, Green, etc :P

never really named my fish per se'. But they all do have pet names.

Little gobe - warpaint/green clown goby
Flamy - flame angel
dotty - neon dottyback
spike - a chiton that has some type of algae on his back and looks like spikes.
mandy - green mandarin

I have other fish, but those are the only ones with "names". My wife comes up with the names.

I name mine. But only after I've had them for a while. They have to survive for at least a couple months before I feel comfortable personifying them. Here they are -

Engineer goby - Gomez
Purple Tang - William
Blue tang - Elmore
Foxface Lo - Matthew
Firefish - Merv
Swallowtail Angel (female) - Dolores
Bluestar leopard wrasse (female) - Felicity
Green Mandarin - Mandoo
Lyretail Anthias (male) - Chaz - (female) - Catelyn
Whipfin Fairy Wrasse - Elton
Banggai Cardinal - Gordon
Lightning Maroon Clown - Thor Almighty
Midas Blenny - Ronald
Blue streak cleaner Wrasse - Franklin
Pink spot Watchman - Dr. Armand
Red Head Solon Wrasse (male) - Pork Pie - (female) Missy Pie

+Stan & Fran - Captive bred lined seahorses in my refugium (don't worry - they have low flow, unlike the display).

I did when I was younger, but then I stopped, now my daughter names them.

Currently we only have freshwater working on getting that first saltwater tank, so we have:

Red devil: Juice
Betta: Leo

My girlfriend started naming them when we moved in together and it stuck.
Mocha Clownfish - cappuccino, obviously
3 blue chromis - huey dewey and louie or my name the spaz brothers.
We haven't named our blenny yet.
