Nori question

I have a lawnmower blenny that loves it when I put nori in banded to a small rock. He goes mad for it. Anyway my question is will nori stay healthy in the water? I put some in but it lasts for a day or so. Will it decay in the same way excess food would. If not I could put lots in and just let him feast when he wants. As it's seaweed I'm not sure.

Put in smaller amounts.

I think it's still OK for critters to eat, but it gets awful mushy.

I cut nori into small rectangles that fit in an all plastic clip. I added a stainless steel nut and bolt to the handle so it sinks. I tied on a length of fishing line and put a clip and suction cup on the other end so I can clip it to something outside the tank or suction cup it to the outside glass. I end up doing 4 to 6 sheets (about 2" x 3") as the fish go for it first, then the shrimp and emerald crabs after that. I'll put 2 or 3 small sheets in the clip at a time. Usually in about 2 or 3 minutes it's all gone. I keep feeding it until nobody pays attention to it any more.

IME Nori really starts to stink after about 12 hours or so. Allowing the leftovers to settle among the rocks or get caught in a filter sock for days on end could definitely lead to problems.
