Polp color change on red monti.

What is the possibility of a red/orange montipora to change its polps color? only reason i ask is because i have a frag of red monti. it was growing very well till one day i let my 5 gal nano go out of wack for a bit till i got it under control. Since then it has been placed into a IM20G and instead of 1 frag i have two. I am running a NanoBox Tide Plus M 4" above the water level and had 1 frag 1" under water lol. now one part of the frag closes to the light has yellow polps that stand out, about 6 polps are yellow. the other piece that broke off and is growing on my rock is about 6"-7" under water and the polps on that one are also beginning to turn yellow. not as bright yellow as the one closer to the light but seem as though they are in transition to turning yellow. I do feed my corals reef roids, fuel, and kent chromaplex everyday. I do a five gallon water change every single week and test once a week since i feed so heavy with parameters always been the same.

Salinity - 1.026

KH - 9

PHO- 0(api, i know its not absolute 0 lol)

Cal - 440

Am - 0

Nitrate - 0

Nitrite - 0

PH - 8

Mag - need to buy a test... lol.

I did do some research and read that a red monti changed its polps colors to yellow when it was under intense lighting. I am pretty happy and excited about it as when i first bought it, it was in the dying section of my LFS and bought it for $5 haha. i personally find small corals that are dying and bring them back to life if possible haha. The picture im attaching to this post is a photo of tyree setting sun montipora to give you an idea of how yellow my polps are on the on closes to the light.

Yea different lighting will certainly change the colors on corals.
