Anyone ever use titanium hose clamps?
Today I had my hose disconnect from my mag 18 sending 7 gallons of water onto my basement floor. Not a big disaster but I am looking to prevent that from ever happening again. Has anyone ever used these titanium hose clamps to secure a hose underwater? Website says they will never corrode under saltwater. Plastic clamps and zip ties just don't make me feel very safe.

Didn't know they existed, would have been nice to know. I used double plastic type clamps on my pump but will upgrade to these in future. The price seems very low.. I wonder if they are truly 100% tit. or instead a tit. coating of some kind.

I had that happen on one of my early tanks. I now hard plumb everything with unions to be able to disconnect equipment.

I have had stainless clamps rust and avoid using them whenever I can, but sometimes you just have to use them. These say 100% titanium so I'd give them a try, but they are out of stock. Do any other marine boat parts people sell them. I use West Marine and they don't carry anything like these.

These guys appear to have Ti hose clamps in stock. Not too bad to never have to worry about them rusting or failing:

They make plastic ones that crimp together. They are reliable. Stainless is fine too... just makes a little GFO in your tank.
