Do i use teflon?

I have a true double union ball valve that is threaded. Im putting a male adapter and my question is do i use teflon on the male adapter? Thanks

FYI, this isnt the correct forum board. But, I would use Teflon putty (not tape), and I would put the putty on the male and female threads.

It doesn't hurt and the extra protection is more piece of mind. I used it whenever possible

Teflon tape is NOT recommended for PVC pipe, use teflon thread sealant.

Does teflon thread sealant create a bond that cannot be undone? Teflon tape allows taking the connections apart, will the sealant?

No. I always use Oatey Great White with PTFE on all my threaded fittings. It doesn't harden to the point that you can't unthread the fittings but when properly applied, it will not leak nor will it expand the female fittings like teflon tape does which can result in cracked fittings.
