Clams with AP700
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone is keeping clams under the AP700 Kessil and if you are what are the specs: depth of tank, height above water, lighting schedule, and intensity. I have an SCA 66 with one AP700, I max out intensity at 52% for about three hours, and they are on from 0800-1800. My light sits about 10 inches off the water. I have a Green Slimer at the top 2/3 of the tank and it is growing quite well, while zoas are almost at the bottom and are doubling in growth. Does anyone thing I can keep a lower light clam in the sand bed. I don't really want to increase intensity. Then again, maybe I can increase intensity, already fight GHA worried will only get worse with increased intensity? Thanks All!

GHA will get worse with increased intensity if you don't deal with its cause. I would do that first, as any issues causing GHA are likely problems for clams.

I have a Maxima on the bottom of my 40b. Single AP700. Sits in the middle of the tank where the light overlaps. PAR is just under what is measured right under 1 of the pucks at 6" under water.
