led mars aqua 300w
Hi to all. I'm an italian guy and I hope my (very simple) english is clear
I want to create a 360 litres aquarium (100cmx60cmx60cm), for fishes and few soft corals. I need to choose a LED lighting, and on ebay I've found mars aqua 300w (or 165w, but I think it is too small). In view of the fact that I want only soft corals, this LED Aquarium Lighting is enough?? I have read here a very long topic about it, but in english it's hard for me translate and understand it all. Thanks! |

The 300w 31" light would be fine for softies, LPS and some SPS on that size tank. They are fairly high PAR LED.

The MarsAqua will work for your tank.
In terms of the rust, what are they using for their cases now? Most Chinese black box fixtures started out with steel cases. About 3 years ago some started to use aluminum which is much better. Although the cheap stainless steel screws do still rust in time. I don't know what MarsAqua is using for their cases on new fixtures.

Talking about better spectrum, look for an LED that has at least 3:1 ratio of blue:white (diodes). Just passing along what I learn from this forum........... IMO, the two lights from the link above are mediocre at best. |

Yep, RB photon has at least 3:1 blue:white ratio. Even Marsaqua 300W has a much better mix of blue:white than those two lights.
On my Marsaqua 300W, I switched out all of the 3500K white, red and green diodes for blue ones. |
