Removing Some Live Rock

Good morning. I am getting ready to remove some of the LR in the tank to open up my aquascape some. Tell me if I am wrong, but when removing the rock and displacing the water volume in the tank, basically all I should have to do is replace the missing water volume with RODI water as the salinity in the tank should remain stable, although obviously I will monitor as I go along. Thanks

No, you have to make up the lost volume with water mixed to the correct salinity. Otherwise the specific gravity will drop. Adding straight rodi water will dilute what you already have.

That's why you ask the questions. Thanks
