Bobbitworm13's 40B predator reef
This tank was originally set up for lionfish but then I bought a mantis shrimp. I recently moved the mantis to a smaller tank and can now get lionfish. The tank has around 30 pounds of rock in it and will eventually be filled with mushrooms, zoas, and other softies.
Equipment Aquaclear 70 for chemichal and some biological filtration Reef octopus bh-50 in tank skimmer. This thing is a beast, I have a 2.5 inch C. argi as sole inhabitant of the tank and this skimmer removes every bit of waste. 2 jabao pp4's. these are great little powerheads Finnex titanium heater (100 or 150 watt). Galaxyhydro led. I'm going to upgrade to a pair of ai primes or a 26 or 52 if I find a good deal on one. I use mostly aquaforest products, if you want a list of what I have I'll post some pictures of the stuff with tank pics. Livestock Palythoa gigas Palythoa spp. "Petroglyph" Zoanthus spp. "Rastas" Some other zoas not sure what kind Ricordea yuma Some random shrooms, idk what kind Toadstool leather coral I plan on a m-f or m-f-f group of fuzzy dwarf lionfish(Dendrochirus brachypterus) Thanks for reading and if you have any advice for getting lions on to frozen I'm all ears. |

It's a 40 breeder so 45 gallons I think. 36" by 18" by 16". Does anyone have a suggestion for a photo hosting site?

For a photo hosting site do not use photobucket. They're currently trying to screw all of their users.
I personally recommend using flickr to host pics, thats what i use. Good luck on the tank man, i look forward to seeing it come together |

still trying to figure out how to post pictures, ill try some more tonight. Right now I'm trying to decide on a new light, the glaxyhydro isn't doing it for me. I am looking at the current usa lights, my friend got one and loves it, a pair of ai primes, or a reefbreeder 24. I believe that my first fuzzy came in at the lfs yesterday, I'll post pics if I can figure out a site once I get him/her.

hit go advanced on comment instead of quick reply. Then scroll down to attach files and click manage attachment.

I just left the lfs with a fuzzy dwarf lionfish and 3 dozen ghost shrimp. I'll post a video of him eating later. No corals, they didn't have anything I was interested in. The tank is doing great, all of the corals are growing

Here is a picture of the Palythoa grandis, the yuma, and a rhodactis. All the coral is growing and doing well, the lionfish is starting to show some interest in frozen. I am looking to get a few more zoas and expand my ricordea collection and am liking how the tank is doing rn. Any suggestions for "designer" zoas and palys?
