auto feeders on smaller tanks
As a spinoff to the multiple feedings per day thread, I wanted to ask about auto feeders on smaller tanks.
My system is about 50gallons total water volume. Are there auto feeders that can be setup to feed appropriate amounts of food for smaller tanks? While I'd love to feed more regularly and thus have more options for stocking my tank, nutrient buildup/export is a concern. TIA.

The smaller Eheim will fit and work, the only thing I wish is that feed slot was more adjustable, I have mine barely open on my 120g, but I've thought about just drilling a hole in the tab or notching it just for this reason.
One thing I do is I set a new feeder on a dinner plate, run it a full week/cycle and see what dumps daily before I put it on.

Agreed, I keep a little Eheim on my small office tanks and home freshwater 10g. You need to use the smallest setting on the feed slot (and I have the feed slot taped in place, just as insurance against them sliding open). You can set them to feed a short or double feeding up to four times a day.
