Fluval LED white/blue mix

I have a Fluval M90 with a Fluval Marine LED 2.0 and Fluval wireless controller that allows me to control the white/blue intensity. My question is during the daytime what intensity should the blue channel be on? I currently have it set to 100% white and 100% blue for 8 hours during the day. The problem is that I’m getting a brown covering appear on the sand over the coarse of the day that disappears during the night and I wonder if it’s the blue light that’s doing it?

Any advice with programming the light settings is welcome, thanks in advance.

I guess the first question is how long has the tank been setup? During the breakin / cycling phase all tanks will have brown covering everything in the tank. The next question would be. What all do you have in the tank now as far as livestock? The last question is do you have plenty of flow?

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The tank has been running since March 17. I have the standard Fluval skimmer, pump etc but have added an inTank surface skimmer and have a refugLED and a huge clump of cheato in the back compartment. I carry out a 15% water change every week with Red Sea Coral Pro salt.

The tank is overstocked as I downsized from a RSM C250 when I moved house. Current stock is...

Fish
Azure Damsilfish - March 2011
2x Clown Fish - April 2011
Lemon peel Anglefish - Aug 2011
Royal Gramma - Oct 2013
Pink Spotted Goby & Shrimp - July 2016
Pyjama Wrasse - August 2016

Clean Up Crew
Tuxedo Urchin - Nov 2016
Cleaner Shrimp - Sept 2017
7 Snails
4 Hermits (2xSmall, Blue, Red)
Sand Sifting Starfish

I have attached a full tank shot and a pic of the sand. As I said the brown grows over the course of the day and disappears at overnight.

I have taken an hour off the day channel and introduced a 70% hour break. I have also shortened the night channel by 2 hours. These are my current settings...what do you think?
