Dosing assistance

Hello everyone,

I have a kamoer dosing pump and have been running alk, Calc and mag. My issue is that my pump has to pump the liquid up into my tank (3 foot height). My calc and mag stay in the tube at the top so it’s always ready to dose but my alk drop down back into the pump so when it turns on to dose it doesn’t dose because it takes longer for the liquid to get to the top again then it would to add it’s normal dose.

What is causing this on the one pump so I can fix it? Any advice would help. Hopefully my explanation isn’t too confusing.

Thanks!

Peristaltic pump?

If so, new tubing in the roller compartment or adjustment of the rollers would be my guess.

Sounds like your dosing pump has a bad seal or leak which is allowing the alk to reverse flow. Start by looking for a small leak in the tubing.

yep..yep... tube/roller junction is allowing air/liquid past it when it shouldn't be.. needs adjustment if possible or maybe even new tubing depending on its age/condition..
