Socks can be a culprit when new but that's not your problem.

It might be possible that you somehow got the wrong pump, but I doubt it.

I'd suggest you take some pictures and figure out a way to post them so others can troubleshoot for you.

What happens when you allow full air? right now that valve looks nearly closed?

More air is usually better. plug it in, lets see what happens.

You need to raise it up more, it will stop overflowing once you get it to a certain height.

That height is where the water level is sitting right above the pump. Which I think is way too high for a skimmer.

If that's where it has to be then raise it. My Bubble King is the same way, it's sitting with the water level just above the pump. Once you get it to the right height, then you can fine tune it using the valve.

If you worry about negatively affecting the pump or something, don't it's fine.

I don’t have room under my stand to raise it that high.

Can you show us the overflowing?

It's just going back into the sump right? won't hurt anything anyway.

clean the cup first though. that's gross.

BTW, how does the skimmer body valve work? You should see the water height fluctuate some with that valve - can you adjust that any?

I don’t have a picture of it overflowing and I’m not touching the skimmer right now because it’s producing dry skim at the air restriction I have. Basically the cup lid was bouncing and water and bubbles flowing over the edge like crazy.

The water adjustment in my opinion is useless. I have it fully open and it doesn’t appear to actually change the water height in the skimmer.

Not my video but the uploader has the same problem as me and her overflowing is what mine is like. I ran it for months and months.

I know you said you cleaned it, but did you clean the venturi? If not, use a small brush to clean the inside. Make sure the air tubes are clean as well.

I would have to say it's your depth. Need to raise it an inch or two.

Sorry I didn’t see the message. I raised it so it’s in 5” and it goes from bubbles not high enough to overflowing if I adjust the water dial.
