Gray spots on foxface

ANy opinions on these spots are on our new tank inhabitant- a newly acquired foxface from liveaquaria.

When did you get them? Did you qt the fish before you add to your tank? I’m no expert in fish disease but would like to know others opinions.

I got him about 10 days ago. I did not quarantine.

Bump. Somebody must have seen this. Large gray spots that come and go. It doesn't look like ick.

Could be stress, mine didn't fully color up until it was out of qt and in my dt for a few days, they have built in camo

The poor guy passed away. It must have been some fungal or parasitic infection.
