Newman8r's 32g Biocube thread
Good morning! I've been lurking on here for just over a month decided to register and post.
I picked up a biocube 32 Started it with Aquavitro Seed and killed the lights. for 4 weeks. Specs are: 32lbs cured live rock 20lbs live sand korlia 425gph powerhead Levels have held for the past 3 days Ammonia: 0ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate Approx 5ppm Temp 79 SG 1.026 Didnt have a test kit to see the ammonia spike but I picked one up 2 weeks in and ammonia was on the charts. My question is now what? 20% Water change? add fish? or small CUC first and monitor? Thanks |

If you look at your stocking list I would add the smallest most peaceful fish to get started. Don't FEED too heavily as you may induce an ammonia spike.

100% or the best you can water change(to zero out the nitrates), then add a small CUC. Now would be a great time to start QTing your first fish.
