Reef tank lighting help

Currently.running a t5 bad boy system.
Looking to.switch to a LED system. I have a hood so I would like to span it the full.48 inches. There is a coral life and a aqueon both with white red and blue lights up to 23k. Programmable and with remote. Will this be enough for a 24inch deep tank 48 inches wide?

No..
In general those types of lights are only suitable for shallow tanks/low light corals as they feature lower wattage LEDs than some of the more coral suitable LED lights.
Really they are "fish only" LEDs..

Do you have a budget to work with?
Have you decided on the features you want? (wifi control/sunrise and sunset modes/storm modes,etc..).

Do you want one that mounts to the top of the tank or can be hung inside a canopy?

yep.. Its fish only..

Par=18 @ at 12".
That PAR rating is useless for corals.. You want to be in the 100+ PAR rating minimum. That light isn't even close..

In general for a 48" tank cheapest usable LED will be around $200 (its 2 x $100 Chinese black boxes from Amazon/Ebay)
or the next step up is this..
https://www.reefbreeders.com/shop/photon-48-v2/
Or
AI Hydras or Prime HD,etc...

Whats wrong with your T5 setup?

Note: you will need to hang them from inside your canopy/cobble something up..

1 of these..
https://www.amazon.com/VIPARSPECTRA-...reef+led&psc=1

or 2 of these
https://www.amazon.com/VIPARSPECTRA-...70_&dpSrc=srch

Or 2 of these
https://www.amazon.com/MarsAqua-Dimm...s=marsaqua+led

There are TONS of different ones on amazon/ebay like that.. Search for "reef led light" and there are a bunch to choose from ranging from like $80 or so to 200+ for the double wide units..
Then some have Wifi/Timers/remotes,etc...

agree with above. Vipers are good and honestly I run retro t5s and black boxes in combo.

Nothing wrong with T5s.

How many bulbs in the T5 fixture? You can keep any corals with (enough) T5s.
