Salinity help
Hi, my salinity is sitting at 1.30 in my tanks, ones a 100 litre and one a 450 litre. What’s the best way to reduce this please?

Do you mean a specific gravity of 1.030?
Do you have any inverts (including corals)? They only way is to take out water, and replace it with RODI. You can do this pretty quickly with fish. I would take my time if there are inverts involved.

Here's a calculator to play around with: https://www.hamzasreef.com/Contents/...etSalinity.php
I would adjust something like 0.001 per day over the next few days, with the final target about 1.026-1.027

And just to make sure.. Did you get into this situation because you are topping off with saltwater? (hence raising your salinity) or are you aware that you should top off to replace whats evaporated with fresh water only (no salt in it as salt does not evaporate)..
