Removing soft corals from frag plugs

Tried to remove kenya tree from frag plugs to no avail. How can I remove it without damaging the coral, or is there just no option?

I usually just slide a razor blade in between the coral and the plug.

Or just nip the frag plug down as small as you want it while still leaving a bit so the coral can be attached. Soft corals can be a pain to attach as they slime up so I wouldn't completely remove the plug.

Kenyas are like rubberbands. Id just cut off what you want with scissors. Whatever stump is left behind will prob grow braches back if left alone to heal

Very much agree. I physically ripped some stray pieces of of my frag rack, two weeks later new stalks were appearing where I pulled the old ones off of.

I typically use a razor and try to get as close as possible to the plug. Dip the frag in iodine and then place on the new frag or rock.
