Montipora on my over flow box

Ok so my tank is probly 4 months old and is doing really good. I just bought some monti and looking glue It to my over flow. I have a 72 bow front with the left side corner overflow. I'll take picks as soon as I get my cam fixed on phone. My question is what is the down side to doing this and where on the over flow would be best placement..

It doesn't really matter IME. A razor blade can make a lot of things go away.

I think one is encrusting and the other is plating

Don’t put the plating one above the encrusting one or it will eventually block light from reaching it. Good luck.

My only other concern, other than if you can get the correct light and flow, would be weight. I don’t know how heavy they can get or if they would be able to support their own weight when they get bigger if they are glued by one side to a piece of plastic.

Mine was placed close and it made its way there, it's easy to remove from the box when it attaches itself.

Overflows are pretty smooth. What will you use to cement the frags?

That mucus is the corals defense mechanism when it gets disturbed. It’s not a problem and it will go away after a bit of time in water with reasonable flow. It’s normal for corals to secret that when they are fragged or even touched in some cases.

When I had my 300DD I did this and then kept fragging it.
