Multiple tangs

Have the opportunity to get another purple tang for our 180... I have a powder brown and a purple already. Both are around 4 inches so they are still on the younger side. Just wondering if people have done this without a blood bath. The purple in there now was put in last week and the powder brown about a month ago .. he chased the purple for a day but has been fine since

Probably best to do some re-aquascaping &/or remove old tangs for awhile and then add all 3 at the same time.

I’ve done that and now things are ok.
First 2 weeks were pretty bad but they have learned to live with each other.
I learn this when I got a Zebrasoma Flavensce that always chase all fish, so I decide to get a second Zebrasoma and after fighting for a while they remain calm.

2 Purples in the same tank is asking for trouble IMHO since they are known for being aggressive.

And sometimes what should not work, works, in exceptional cases.
Keep us posted on the progress, it should be interesting

Wise choice
I just realize today that the brs 160 (youtube video from bulk reef supplies)have 2 purple, and they seem fine.

90% percent of the time, I would say no, but as long as you are prepared to take something out or make changes, then give it a try.
