Protecting Fish From Overflow
I'm building netting to keep my fish from jumping out, and the netting will cover the top of my overflow, but how to I block the semi-circle cutouts made for the return pipe? I have my return pipe go up and over the back so I don't use either of them. Right now I have seaweed clips on them but the seaweed clips will be in the way of the proposed screen.

I cut out some pieces of acrylic I had and used acrylic cement to glue them over the cutout from the inside of the overflow. Superglue gel might work too.

Another option is tulle. It's a type of fabric netting that can be found at every Walmart and fabric store. You can rubber band or silicone it on and since it is a very fine net fish can't go through it even very small ones.

I used acrylic on mine. Easy to cut and shape, and glues in place real easy.

I used corrulgated plastic that they use for signs (corriboard), cut to size and then taped up with gorrila tape. It blends in nicely and cannot be seen, plus it cuts out light spill in the weir.
