New Fish Behavior
I purchased a nice looking purple dottyback today at my LFS. It found a hole and has been hiding in it. Do Dottybacks live in small holes in the sand much like a goby does?

Every dottyback I've owned, has lived in a hole in the rockwork and typically never strayed far from that hole.

My frimandi likes a particular spot under a rock and often carries sand out of the cave he has made. He still comes out and swims around, but most of the time he kind of pokes out, almost like my yellow watchman goby.

Our Purple Dottyback has a chosen cave he hangs around, but has never burrowed into the sand that we've seen.
