Sea slug/hare
Just saw a sea slug in my tank. It’s not colorful or any special markings. It kinda just looks like a big grey booger. It was up on top of one of my rocks and it was expelling something from it. Just a kinda hazy little cloud. Any one know what it is and what it was doing? Thanks

Without a picture it's kind of hard to say what it is, but that cloud you saw probably had something to do with reproduction. The next time you see this thing though you might want to remove it just to be safe. Take some pictures, post them here at RC and go from there.

I tried getting a picture but he was moving pretty fast. It was definitely living. And he doesn’t have any distinctive markings or anything. It literally looks like a big grey booger

A sea hare has a hole on its back that poo clouds come out of. Our is hard to spot 'cause it looks like a rock. On its head it has 2 protrusions that look like Shrek's ears. They are smaller in the front, kinda like pear shaped.
Cheers! Mark

Thanks. This guy is kinda pear shaped and I’ve never noticed him before because he looks like a rock. Nothing has changed or gone wrong in the tank so I think I’ll leave him in there. Does yours ever make little cloudy puffs of water coming out? |

lol, So what your saying is basically crap? I didn't say you had to post it now, tomorrow or the next day, but a picture for reference of this creature you seem to know so much about would be nice.
