Need to build aquarium like this
Guys,
I'm. Planning to build aquarium like this. This is what I was looking for. Just wanted to know what should be thickness of glass when I go for 4feet tall fish talk like this. Also any idea whether toughen or regular glass will be ok? |

I mean CustomAquariums has the price for this dimension tank listed at $775 base price with 5/8 glass for rimmed (<$1000 for rimless with 5/8 tempered.. hmm surprisingly thin). I mean, what's your free time worth to you? Unless you're looking to gain experience in glass tank building, I know what I would do ... I mean a single 4' x 14" 1/2" thick pane is going to cost you $200 (Dulles Glass quote, they don't sell >1/2" so just use your imagination ). So with glass alone you're already in the hole for parts as compared to a $775 built tank. |
