return line over the top of the tank plumbing
I'm trying to figure out how to plumb the return line over the top of the tank as I'm running Herbie style plumbing.
I bought black 3/4" vinyl tubing for the return line, and line loc and threaded adapter for the line loc. I just need to buy a barb that will glue onto the vinyl tubing to connect it to the 3/4 PVC hard pipe. Where I set the return nozzle in the tank, does that mean when power shuts down, the water will drain down to the return nozzle until the siphon breaks? Should I add a U shape to the pc going over the tank? See the pics of what I'm using

When I ran mine over the top I used rigid PVC. I used metal strapping on the under side of the stand to support it.

I could use rigid all the way up. But I bought 6' of vinyl tubing to take away any vibration of the pump.

Keep the return as high up as you can or it will syphon back when the return stops pumping. I run a u on my to hook on tank edge. Really need to make sure the return can't pop off the tank and drain you sump on the floor.
Cheers! Mark

Do you have pics?
So just make a U with PVC I'll probably zip tie it to the center brace or secure it some way

These will hold the pipe secure & can be screwed into the stand. I use them on my returns.

If you are really worried about vibration then run a short (1 foot) section of vinyl between the pump and ridgid return.

Thanks for the link, I'll order some
callsign I'm going to do exactly that. I bought 6' but will probably just use a 1' coming off the return pump, and out of the sump behind the tank
