ISO Marineland C-360 canister filter basket

Hi there,
First post, so go easy on me if this isn't the proper venue for this question...
I bought a Marineland C-360 off of craigslist (mistake #1), without knowing how it went together (Mistake #2). Now I'm trying to get my first reef tank set up, and as it turns out, I received (2) bottom baskets, instead of (1) bottom basket and (3) intermediate baskets. Tried contacting the seller, but of course, no response. The filter won't properly close without the shorter intermediate basket.
Does anyone have one of these filters sitting around for parts, that I could buy one of your baskets off of you? They don't sell them on Marineland's website...only the bottom basket is available.
Going to start with the LFS in my area, but looking for any advice.

Welcome to the obsession and to RC!

If you could provide some information about your planned setup we can offer some very good advice on what direction to go. Tank size, is it drilled for a sump, lighting, etc are all very important things that will help decide.

By and large, canister filters are not generally used in reef aquariums. Not to say that you can't, but there are much better options out there that you should explore before going that route.

A canister filter is better than no filter but as you gain experience you'll want to move to a sump setup. Be sure to keep up with maintenance on these because they can foul up really quick.

Just getting started in the hobby...I've been a fish nerd all my life, but think I'm ready to jump into the saltwater and reef world! So much to learn....this forum is FANTASTIC!
I have A 50 gal cube, not drilled, that I'm converting. So, hence the canister filter route for now. I'm looking at 2-3" of live sand and live rock, with a few Zoanthids and hopefully some Elegance coral eventually. No more than a few fish, and a good clean up crew. I'm going very slowly...I've been intimidated by the hobby for years, but it's always been a goal of mine to do a reef tank.
I've heard varying things about how you do or don't need a supplemental filter when using live sand and live rock, but I picked up the Marineland for only $20, so I thought it would be a good starter backup. I did manage to get a hold of customer service, and order the missing basket, so hopefully all will be good.
Any advice would be welcomed!

One other newbie observation: so, I'm fairly certain that my Beamswork EA Timer FSpec 0.50W LED Light won't cut it.

Probably looking to upgrade to VIPARSPECTRA Timer Control 165W LED. Would you agree that would work for "easy" corals? Link below.

I can't help that I grow older, but you can't make me grow up! Current Tank Info: 120 mixed reef with 40b sump, RO 150 skimmer, AI Sol Blue x 2, and a 60g Frag Tank with 100g rubbermaid sump. 2 x Kessil A360w lights, BM curve 5 skimmer
