Salt mixing and storage containers

Hi
I recently bought some 25L bottles that were originally used for transporting fruit juice. My plan was to use them for mixing and storing my salt mix but whe i got them they had a verry strong smell of fruit from their previous use. I have filled them with hot water multiple times and even used baby bottle sterilising tablets to try and clean them. I have let them dry out over night but there is still a fuity smell inside them. My question is will this poison my tank?
I have a mixed reef a couple of tangs, clowns, fox fish damsels, algea blenny, cleaner shrimp, hermits, snails, all water params good been running9-10 months. Any help from someone with similar experience or a better understanding than me would be hreatly appreciated.
Thanks

I suspect that they will be fine as is, but you could try a round of bleach followed by some vinegar to try to remove any organics. The vinegar will remove any bleach, as well as help a bit with removal. I might be careful with using large amounts of the water at a single shot, but I am the cautious type.

I think i will try that. Can you suggest a brand or type of bleach to use as i have never used it on any aquarium equipment before. It wasnt so much the fruit juice itself but any preservitaves that might of been added to it. Hopefully the bleach will rid of anything like that.
Thanks

Anything that is pure bleach with no fragrances should be fine. Chlorox Regular or concentrated will be okay, for example.
