FTS
Unfortunately a few of my acros started to stn. All of my params are in order, so my guess is my rodi filters. I haven't changed any of the filters out since i bought it(except di resin) and ive easily made 1500-2000 gallons between my 90 gallon and 300. I ordered all new filters so hopefully that takes care of the problem |

Thanks, I'm pretty disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing it mature and all the coral grow. On the bright side, I'm moving to Colorado, so there should be a few more activities to do out there than here in Delaware.
Maybe one day I'll be able to set the big tank up again. For now I'm setting up a 50 gallon in Colorado until I can get rid of all of my fish. It's going to be cramped, I feel bad for the fish, but I'd rather not give all of these healthy quarantined fish to any of the low quality fish stores around here. If anyone in the the Longmont area wants a couple tangs in a month or so, let me know. It should be fun driving cross country with all these fish and coral lol. |

If they all make the trip ok I'll have a yellow tang, desjardini, kole, and Orange shoulder and some other small fish. Im hoping I can figure out a way to keep the purple, powder and hippo since they're my favorite, but if I can't they'll be available too. Unless you want to take them too and hold them till I can get a larger tank up and running lol. |

Thanks man sounds good. I took most of the fish and coral out of the 300 yesterday(very depressing day) and put it all in a 40 gallon. Hard to look at the 300 torn apart especially since I only had it for like 5 months. I'll have to take all of the rock out to catch the remaining fish(melanarus, kole, watchman, chromis, orange shoulder, and yellow tang). Giving the yellow tang and watchman to my buddy. Surprisingly the 40g doesn't look that cramped, but you can tell the powders not digging it lol. Hopefully i can set up a 75 or 90 when i get to Colorado. If not ill give em all away. Im getting an apartment so ill have to find one that allows a tank. I'll post pics of the 40 when lights come on. |

Alright good news. I'm finally settled down for the long haul(hopefully) and in a decent financial situation so I'm planning on setting the 300 back up soon.
A few of my fish have been in a 75 gallon(tore my sump apart and used that) for the past 3 months. I gave my powder blue, purple, desjardini and a few others to my buddy with a 180. Sorry to those who were interested in taking the fish but I ended up not moving to Colorado. Sadly most of my sps died during the multiple transfers so all I really have left are a few montis, Lps and softies. I'll update when I move the tank in the house and get'r filled up again. |

This is obviously somewhat of a dead thread but I figured id update. I dont have my laptop with me so I can't post using Flickr.
I got the tank moved into my place. Its sitting in the garage for now. Wasn't AS bad as I thought it would be getting it up the steps. Took 4 guys. I'm redoing the room it's going in so its still going to be about a month until the tanks in. I tore up the carpet. I'm debating painting the floor with epoxy paint or just outdoor paint. Replaced the cabinets. Countertops are temporary till I can find some i like. |

Here's the room before. Bad picture but it's the only one I took prior to me tearing everything out.

Best of luck with the re-do. I fully understand and sympathize with the feelings that go in to a mandatory tear-down. Hopefully it can stay up for longer than 6 months this time - you were off to a good start with it.

I was living with my girl but we went our separate ways when I decided not to move to Colorado(she wasn't worth it anyway). I own this place to myself now so I dont see any problems arising that would result in me tearing it down again soon. I'll update when I finish up the room and start working on the tank. Atleast I have all of the equipment now so it's not going to take much money to get it up. |
