Leather coral help

I have this below pictured leather coral (maybe a devils hand?) that has been closed up and not extending for about two months now. All other corals in the tank are doing well. In addition, it has dropped almost all of its extended pieces and we are down to mostly the core of the coral now.

How long do phases like this last? The coral is starting to have algae grow on it.

Suggestions?

Self propagation, when leathers are dying they will do that. My devils hand did it.

So, what are the major reasons it may be dying then? All other corals look great.

Well, fortunately the LFS has let me trade the frags. And since this is the third time this cycle has occurred (last times it was 2 weeks tops), this coral has more than paid for itself.

i don't think its dying...thats just what leathers do...my devils hand does this all the time and hasn't died yet..give it lots of flow that would keep algae off..also what your parameters..........my leather stay closed sometimes for weeks then open back up better than before

Params are good. I was used to the same, but it’s never been closed 2 months and dropped almost ALL it’s extremities.

Nitrate: 20
Phosphate .1
Alk 8.5
Calcium: 440
