Who uses filter Cups vs Socks?

and what is your result with the cups and filter floss?

My 4ea 4x16 filter socks have to handle a lot of flow. Filter cups with floss will not work in my case.

Filter socks are not needed. I have used them but no any more.

yeah I am seriously thinking of removing them but I still battle some hair algae
so I use them to catch the hairs as i siphon them out. When i get my ATS from Turbo and rid GHA from DT I will probably stop using socks then.

Unless you clean them often, they collect detritus and become a nitrate factory thereby contributing to an increase in GHA.

Just use socks as needed. Cleaning, etc. then remove
