This weekend I completed a fish side project. I added a ro/di line from my 55 gallon storage drum to my ato container. I am using a float valve, leak detector, and solenoid valve as safety measures. This is also not directly run to my tank just the top off container.
It is nice to not have to carry buckets every 3-5 days. I no longer have to ask anyone to come over and top off my ATO when I am away. One step closer to full automation. One step closer to maybe being able to keep up reefing when the kids start coming.

If any of you reading this are Apex Gurus I am trying to get my solenoid valve to turn on when the low float switch is closed and off when the high float switch is open. I thought it would be as simple as:
Set OFF If LowATO CLOSED Then ON If HiATO OPEN Then OFF but that just open the solenoid valve whenever the low switch was closed and turned it off when it opened again keeping the water level at the bottom. I now have this to try to somewhat keep it full: Set OFF If LowATO CLOSED Then ON Min Time 060:00 Then ON If HiATO OPEN Then OFF I am sure there is a better way...

Great build! I've never been a fan of tanks built in but this one is just gorgeous.

It has been a while since I have taken one. I will have to clean some glass and take a few this weekend.

The little frag rack in the corner is full of spoils from Reef Stock in Denver. I will take some closer shots of them whenever I get them placed in the DT.

I only craft under professional supervision... My father and his friends are extremely helpful people.

Replacing the return pump this week. I have a club friend's blue-line running things right now. I figured out I can get by with a lot less pump than I previously had. Looking at multiple options this week.

Catch up update:
A few months ago my club put together a box swap with MARSH. A club in Huston. I was headed down there for their swap event anyway so I took our clubs coral with me. What I sent. What came back with me. What I picked. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk

The SLASH Club started a new coral growing contest. I believe it is a Miyagi tort. I see no green in it yet. I hope it settles in and starts growing well because I used the spot that I was saving for Organ tort. It's pretty close to the spot where I put last year's contest runner up (I think only 3 of 12 made it to the end). I seem to remember it taking 3 months before it started taking off last year.

Kind of curious,
How much did this whole setup cost you? |

I honestly don't know. I feel like if I did it wouldn't be a fun hobby anymore.

Haven't posted much but I have had little time since starting a new career in late November. It's been a slow 2 weeks at work lately and I have changed some things around at home.
I moved a lot of the LPS out of the main display and into the 20 gallon tank. They just didn't seem to puff up or grow very much with all the flow I have for the sps. I left the few that seem to be doing well in the 180. The baby clown finally started hosting in 1 of the 14 nems. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
