Bottom dwelling fish
Hey guys, so my Mrs is looking to put a fish in the new tank and saw a YouTube clip with a bottom dwelling fish (shark I think). Now my tank is not big enough for that it's 80g. Was thinking of snowflake eel but are there better options?
Thanks. Sent from my CLT-L09 using Tapatalk |

A Yellow Watchman Goby is a must-have in every tank I've ever had. There are numerous perchers as well. With your potential stocking list, a flame hawk would give you some great color. I like them because no matter how fast you can find them in the tank, they are always looking at you first.
I'm reluctant to suggest a Eel for a couple reasons. First of all, they are escape artists like no other. Any ell can and will escape from any unprotected spot, even ones who you would think are way too big to get through. Secondly, depending on the species, they can get fairly large. Even a snowflake can hit 2' at maturity, and most are carnivorous. Last of all, they can be very long lived. I'm not a big fan of "trading it in" when you get tired of it. My Gymnothorax Undulatus (Undulated Moray) was with me for 25 years. When I got him, he was a very manageable 18" or so. Within a couple years, he topped out a 4' and was as large around as my upper arm. They are also very messy eaters, so keeping nitrates in check will become an issue. You're going to have issues enough with a dwarf lion.
