So...what did I miss?
Hey gang, I've been tankless and generally out of the hobby for almost 10 years. That's ends now and I've got a couple of tanks to set up (a biocube 32 and a glass 120). So, while only partially in jest, what have I missed in the past decade? (Aside from the rise of LED lighting).
Prost!

Hmm, maybe more availability of tank-bred fish? More emphasis of sustainable practices in general?

Corals are more expensive, but local clubs are a good source for corals. AND I am joking You did not miss anything with LED's.

I just got in the hobby for salt anyway in the last 7 months.. fresh for 15+ years... from what ive heard from people is corals are priced like gasoline was in 2008.. (really high) yellow tang i know are being captive bred.
Hawaii came out recently with certain fishing methods being banned.. and thus yellow tangs. Flame angels. And other fish i noticed went up by almost 20% |
