Return pump failed
Hello woke up this morning to my return pump being off I have a Red Sea reefer 170 so I moved my heater to the display tank and turned on the power head. Anything else you recommend to do while I get a replacement pump?

You should take it apart and see if it just needs to be cleaned. The impeller can get pretty gunked up over time, and if you are dosing, calcium carbonate deposits seem to really like impeller shafts and magnets.

Depend on how long you plan on running without pump(no skimmer, carbon, gfo..etc,)
Reduce feeding and watch out for your nutrient. You can also drop a rinsed bag of carbon in the display. |
