Hanna Marine Salinity Tester

Searched but couldn;t find.
If you are using one how accurate, or stable, is it. Can it be calibrated.
Would you recommend?

I love mine, got it here when it first came out:

https://clearchoiceaquatics.com/coll...tester-hi98319

I calibrate monthly, and you get 4 calibration packs with the tester. At first I double checked with my refractometerbut now I just trust it I haven't touched my reflectometer in awhile.

Love mine too.
Lined up with my refractometer after I first calibrated it.
It’s been 6 weeks and plan ro recalibrate this weekend.

Honestly, salinity was the most annoying thing for me to test and now it’s a breaze...

I am currently using a refractometer and it needs to be calibrated every time I check the salinity.

Sounds like this may be more consistent?

Sound like mine, everytime I use it I calibrate it, but it's a good twenty years old milwaukee MR100ATC. to me it's a pain to use. Guess a meter would be nice.

Do they give different readings in different water temps?

No. They measure temp too and (I assume) adjust accordingly.

When I first got mine, it was another confirmation that my temp was in line.

Unless someone can prove these thing are off, my days of wiping, spritzing with RO, wiping, and staring through a scope to try and dtermine where the bottom of a line is are over...
