Ca Reactor AND 2-part dosing
Does anyone use both simultaneously, or is it either one method or the other?

I know there are quite a few people out there that do it.
They use the reactor for 80 to 90% of the dosing and then use the dosing pump for the rest. I hear it keeps it really stable. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk |

If you setup a reactor properly there should be no real use for 2 part other than dosing mag as it depletes and as demand increases to manually adjust the tank back up to where you like it.
You shouldn't ever use a calcium reactor to raise the alk/ca in an aquarium, just use it to keep the tank stable. Use two part to adjust it. Many people do however run kalkwasser and a calcium reactor together. In fact, it is recommended due to the ph bump of kalkwasser. My sps tanks always do better with kalkwasser in the mix.
