What is this hitchhiker on my frag plug?
After ordering some Salifert test kits and checking my water chemistry, I purchased my first corals today!
I was so excited that I completely forgot to get a coral dip and new frag plugs :/ my LFS closed right as I got home. At the store I saw some algae on a frag plug which I took as a good sign meaning it was not recently cut. Once it was out of the tank and I opened the bag it got put in I noticed the very clear white hitchhiker - here’s a pic Some google searches turned up nothing. It doesn’t seem to be an aptasia or pest starfish. It almost looks like Xenia? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by djryan2000; 07/21/2020 at 06:00 PM. |

Clove polyps. Depending on the species they can be quite invasive. I would remove them asap.
