Sick Fish Wont Eat
I made the mistake (first time in 30 years) I bought a tang sight unseen...Well the bugger is sicker then you can imagine...crappying white stringy.....
I have had him for 7 days..he is fat, gorgeous but will NOT eat. He is in a 32 gallon Quarantine tank and has been in Prazi for 5 days... I have tried flake, spriulina, nori, brine shrimp, PE Mysis and clam in half shell....He is NOT interested..... I am soaking food in Focus and Metroplex on top of the prazzi...nothing.... He does not even look sick ..he looks like a GORGEOUS BROWN (MIMIC) TANG! Hard to believe he is sick... Any suggestions? It has been well over 20 years since I had a fish that I could not get eating... Thx, Tim

IME, Prazi will supress appetite a bit.
For finicky eating tangs dim lights, lots of places to hide and on a pieces of dried LR, make a slurry of food and put a teaspoon onto the pieces of LR and let it dry. Once dry, plop it into the QT and hopefully it starts picking on the food patch. HTH and fingers&toes crossed it starts eating for you. |
