mh lighting

Ive got 400 watt mh should i use my glass canopy ?The light has a lens on it.

You do not need the glass canopy forthe lights, when the bulbs are se (single end) or de (double end if have glass to cover the bulbs) on the fixture. the glass canopy will reduce evaporation but will increase water temp
