Sequence Dart need 2" input?
I'm thinking of puting a Sequence Dart on my new 120 in a closed loop. I see that it has a 1.5" out and a 2" in. . . Do I really need to put a 2" bulkhead in my tank? that seems rather excessive to me, but I don't want to 'starve' the pump if it really needs to have a 2" in.
anyone? |

I run 2 1.5" intakes into my Dart but I have heard from SEVERAL people who are using a 1.5" intake on their Dart and they are not experiencing any cavitation with the pump -- based on that I would say its safe as long as you have it pretty free flowing.

on a closed loop is better to have two seperate intakes a elephen has and have it feed into the dart for better water distribution.

According to Sequence, you can reduce the input of the pump as long as you keep the output of the pump the same size as the input or larger without any negative effect on the pump...other than some head loss.
