Rubbermaid Stock Tanks...
I have purchased two 50 gallon Stock tanks for my sump and refuge for my new 180 gallon. Is it necessary to replace the existing bulkheads on each? I have read in other threads that they have been known to leak. However after expecting both stock tanks they look to be solid and I tested the one with water and no noticeable leaks. Will these bulkheads hold up long-term? Also does anyone know what the size of the bulkheads are, they look bigger than 1"....
Thanks for any input. JAson

I never used the existing bulkhead.
I applied silicone to the threads and shut them up tight. They never leaked.
