How many days can SPS's go with no light before they die?
I have one of my MH ballasts that went out last night and half my reef is unlit except for a small 55w PC actinic. How long will they be ok for? They got good light yesterday and I get my ballast Tuesday hopefully and can give them some light that night for a couple hours. So thats no light for about 3.5 days except for some stray light from the other MH and some light from the PC. If I have to I can switch the wires on the MH sockets so that they get some light but it will take me a while to swap it over.

Don't even stress--storms in the wild often last much longer than 3.5 days. I've known people who've had algae outbreaks that started their treatment by throwing a blanket over the tank for a week. You'll be fine.

Yeah I'm feeling ok about it. I talked to a guy a min ago on the phone and he said he's gone several days before with no problem. Thanks

Should not be a problem as long as you re-acclimate the corals to the lights.
